Quote of the Week

Clyf, a pirate Krawk, laughed heartily, taking another swig of grog. His face was flushed with happiness. Him and his crew were sitting at The Golden Dubloon, basking in the glory of another day of piracy. Their pockets were fat with dubloons, and their bellies filled with good food. Around them, the small tavern along the coast of Krawk Island bustled with activity. Waitresses tended to the needs of the patrons, the chef cooked openly in front of the customers, and some more outgoing Neopets were dancing with each other giddily while others cheered them on.

Faerie Customizations: Elemental Edition

In my previous Faerie Customizations article, I covered most of the unique faeries, and now it`s time to look at the elemental ones. There are six types of elemental faerie: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Light and Dark. How can you customize your Neopet to resemble a mischievous Fire Faerie or a beautiful Water Faerie? If you`re looking for inspiration for some faerie-related looks, please read on. In this article I have also included famous elemental faeries such as Illusen, Jhudora, Nuria, and others.

Getting Help On Your Faerie Quest!

We've all been there, browsing the site or playing our hundredth game of Pyramids trying to win two in a row, when a generous faerie swoops down and gives us a quest to complete! It's so nice of her to offer, and you really want to complete it, but when you run over to the Shop Wizard to find your item he tells you he can't help you!? What!?!? That's right, when you receive a faerie quest you are not able to search for the item on the Shop Wizard, or even the Super Shop Wizard. You'll have to work a little harder to obtain that item, but it is worth the effort.

The 10 to 20% effective guide to pay your Neo Taxes

Hi there, my name is Calcious, and welcome to what I ambitiously call a guide for finding those evasive Tax Beasts and Dr. Sloth random events! 1.- Introduction If you're like me (and even if you're not), you'd like to collect every single avatar and trophy your User Lookup can fit in, but sometimes come up short given how many of them are luck based and overall too hard to get the younger your account is. Between them, three trophies are the definition of luck-based and almost top the list of the hardest trophies to get in a relatively new account (The top 2 being Food Club Bets and Grarrl Keno).

"The Parable of the Techo Master" by nolsterbuckr
We all have heard of the Techo Master. Over the years, many students have been in awe of his ability to levitate in addition to his seemingly infinite knowledge of the fighting arts. And in turn, many students have left the dojo out of frustration, even after having paid the codestones needed to train. But those who faithfully stay under the tutelage of the Techo Master are richly rewarded in mind, spirit, and body. Yet, like all famous individuals, he wasn’t always like this. He even had a name once, but nobody knows it anymore. Not even he does, as relinquishing aspects of one’s identity is a necessary step on the road to enlightenment. In his youth, well before King Coltzan’s death, he passionately desired greatness. He didn’t want to be identified by what species he was; rather, he wanted to be identified by who he was as an individual. One of these dreams of greatness was to become the best fighter in existence- to become unparalleled at combat in the Battledome. And like we all do sometimes, the Techo desperately wanted to be forever remembered for his accomplishments. In order for him to do this, however, he had to find the best teacher and eventually surpass him in skill.

"The Quest to 75" by lissiwciorka
Eroberi opened the door to her trophy case and looked at her trophies, fondly remembering the frustrations and triumphs they gave her. The Dice Escape trophy and her struggles to get the platform even working, let alone get enough for the avatar and the trophy. The Grand Theft Ummagine trophy, with its guards and water traps galore. She looked especially fondly at her gilded Kadoatie likeness, remembering how long it took her to learn about those hungry, baka kads…. ♡♡♡♡ Mewling Kadoaties called a young Eroberi as they begged for food. She frantically tried to find the Kadoatie Biscuits they wanted to be satisfied. She kept on going back to the Shop Wizard in vain until he refused to let her even peruse through the markets anymore. “Whoa there, too many searches!” he declared. “Try again at the top of the hour. ”The Fresh Foods shop always seemed to be empty or full of run of the mill items that she hated. Even the Trading Post never had the biscuits she needed, and if by chance one popped up, the user was asking an exorbitant price. Eroberi let out a frustrated sigh, wondering how she would ever feed 75 Kadoaties for the beautiful trophy and avatar.

"The Treasure of Smuggler's Cove" by unfogging
Clyf, a pirate Krawk, laughed heartily, taking another swig of grog. His face was flushed with happiness. Him and his crew were sitting at The Golden Dubloon, basking in the glory of another day of piracy. Their pockets were fat with dubloons, and their bellies filled with good food. Around them, the small tavern along the coast of Krawk Island bustled with activity. Waitresses tended to the needs of the patrons, the chef cooked openly in front of the customers, and some more outgoing Neopets were dancing with each other giddily while others cheered them on. Around Clyf sat his companions, a motley crew unlike any Krawk Island had ever seen. Each member of the group had a real name, but that name had been lost to history. Once they became pirates, they were given new names that reflected their personalities and talents. There was Skippy O’Scar, a Skeith with a jagged scar covering his left cheek. Nobody knows how he got it, because he changes the story every time you ask him. One time, he said he cut himself shaving. Nobody believed that one. One time he even claimed he got it fighting Captain Scarblade, even though Scarblade hadn’t been seen in decades.

The History of Battledome Challengers, Part 3
In the last edition of "The History of Battledome Challengers", we brought in five new challengers to discuss. Making a total of ten challengers that we've broken down the history of so far. Every week, for five weeks total, I'll be here breaking down a selection of Battledome challengers for you to learn about. Maybe you will end up more inspired to take down some of the worst foes imaginable, as an extra slap in the face to them for trying to destroy Neopia. Or you will just want to practice with them to get stronger for the next mini-plot!
