For some newbies who don't know what the scratchcards are, I will tell you.
To get to the scratchcard Kiosk you would go to Happy Valley, and then to the
Ice Caves. There you will find a sign that says "Kiosk". Or you can clicky here.
If you go there you can buy a scratchcard for 600 NP. Then if your lucky, and
scratch it and get three of a kind of something, you will come back with more
than you spent.
Well, some Neopians say the scratchcards are a waste of 600 NP, others (like
myself), find it a reasonable price and think that it wouldn't hurt to try your
luck. When I have enough Neopoints for my needs and then had extra, I would
like to gamble, and the first place I would go would be the scratchcard kiosk.
Ever since they lowered the price of the scratchcards (from 750 NP to 600 NP),
I have been buying more scratchcards.
The first luck of the Kiosk would be the kind of scratchcard that you get
from the Kiosk Wocky. It can vary from the Race to Riches Scratchcard to the
Icetravaganza Scratchcard, some are extremely rare, and if you get lucky, you
can come back with a fortune. Well others that you get more often, you can win
money like 10,000 NP, which is still a lot to some people. The scratchcards
also have rare items to give, not just Neopoints on the common scratchcards,
you can win things like Quiggle Toys or Magical Snowballs. But if you get a
more valuable scratchcard, more valuable items will be up for grabs.
   
Scratch and Sniff?
The Kiosk Wocky is really nice, and he uses the scratchcards to make himself
a living. He would not be very happy if he did not get much business. When you
buy a scratchcard, you are helping him and you are getting a chance to help
yourself. If you loose, you can just think of it as donating Neopoints to the
Money Tree.
Some people like to buy scratchcards and sell them for more, but if I have
a lot of Neopoints and I just spend 600, I will risk it. If people get a really
rare scratchcard, they will normally sell it for a lot. But if I ever got an
Icetravaganza Scratchcard for only 600 NP, I would risk using it.
According to the making Neopoints page, the scratchcards can get you the most
Neopoints of any single activity in Neopia (wins of over 1 million Neopoints
have been recorded!) It is disappointing that you have to be lucky to win anything,
but if you have extra Neopoints, you can give it a shot and maybe, just maybe,
you can come out a winner! |
