Usukis: Innocent Dolls or Bad Influences?! by Gloworm | |
Usukis. Everyone loves them. They're cute, fluffy, come with an extensive
wardrobe, and, of course, are expensive. There are quite a few Usukis, from
Fun in the Sun and Hawaiian Usuki, to Equestrian and Geisha Girl Usuki. There's
no denying the awesome amount and variety of Usukis that is available for you
to purchase for your pets today. But, alas, my report isn't about how wonderful
the Usukis
are, rather, it's about how they influence pets to think less of themselves,
and how they are quickly becoming MORE than just a toy.
For example, most boy pets wouldn't touch an Usuki with a 10 foot pole. They're
girly! Dolls! Yech! I laughed at this first, until I realised that male pets
were being excluded! There are a lot of toys for both boy and girl pets, like
Cheery Blossoms, and Plushies, but none are really manly. This could make the
male pets feel very left out. Sure, you can go out and purchase your female
Cybunny a brand new Teenage Usuki, but what about your little boy Korbat? Nothing!
Maybe there should be a line of action figures for boy NeoPets.

Also, these little fuzzy Usuls, with their skimpy clothes and perfect blonde
fur are not a good role model for young NeoPets! Just the other day, my Halloween
Aisha, Seafri, begged me to buy her a red Usul morphing potion! I couldn't for
the life of me figure out why, until she brought out her Fun in the Sun Usuki
and said, "So I can look pretty, like her!"
I was shocked! My beautiful Aisha, thought she was ugly! And all because the
Usukis are portrayed as the perfect Pets! She can get the best prom date, have
the prettiest NeoHome, wear the latest fashions, have a pony (Like Equestrian
Usuki)! My pet, my beautiful pet, who is absolutely perfect the way she is,
felt insecure about the fact that she didn't look like a lovely Usuki!
Well, you can plainly see that Usukis are a bad influence on your pets. Sure,
they might look nice, and you'll be able to gloat to your friends when you have
the whole set, but please explain very carefully to your pets that they're beautiful
the way they are, and that they don't have to be an Usul to be beautiful!
My pets no longer play with Usukis. Rather, they play with plushies, and each
has its own. If your pet just can’t give up her Usukis, just remember to tell
her that she’s perfect just the way she is! |
